This interactive math lesson teachs, re-introduces, or enhances students understanding of volume. The lesson has a clear beginning, middle, and end. I have also included ideas for differentiating and a take home activity. This lesson is very scripted so can be printed and used next day. You do need 3D shapes and something to fill with, such as pinto beans or even dried corn!

I used this system in my class beginning in January to increase practice of skills for the state tests given in March. It was a huge success! This item includes the letter I sent home to parents/gaurdians and the Raffle tickets I used. You can create your own packets that focus on whatever skills you worked on all year so it can be used in any classroom!

I use this template for each week to decide what activities I will do with my three levels of students. I attach it to my lesson plans for documentation for my principal as well, as evidence that I am differentiating my instruction.
