I am an Orff-trained music educator with extensive experience teaching elementary music through the Orff Schulwerk approach. My teaching integrates speech, movement, singing, body percussion, and instruments to create joyful, inclusive, and student-centered music-making experiences.
I have worked with students across multiple grade levels, designing lessons that emphasize creativity, improvisation, ensemble skills, and deep musical understanding. My practice is rooted in process-based learning, allowing students to explore musical concepts through play, collaboration, and discovery.
In addition to classroom teaching, I am an active professional musician and composer, which strongly informs my pedagogy. I bring real-world musicianship into the classroom, helping students connect musical concepts to authentic performance and creative expression.
My materials are classroom-tested and designed to be flexible, culturally responsive, and easy to adapt for diverse learners, making them ideal for general music educators using Orff-inspired or active music approaches.
