About the store

Experience

After years of teaching, tweaking, and celebrating music with kids, I created this store to share my favourite Orff creations with you, which are classroom-tested, joyful, and ready to use.

Teaching style

I am an Orff-trained music educator with extensive experience teaching elementary music through the Orff Schulwerk approach. My teaching integrates speech, movement, singing, body percussion, and instruments to create joyful, inclusive, and student-centered music-making experiences. I have worked with students across multiple grade levels, designing lessons that emphasize creativity, improvisation, ensemble skills, and deep musical understanding. My practice is rooted in process-based learning, allowing students to explore musical concepts through play, collaboration, and discovery. In addition to classroom teaching, I am an active professional musician and composer, which strongly informs my pedagogy. I bring real-world musicianship into the classroom, helping students connect musical concepts to authentic performance and creative expression. My materials are classroom-tested and designed to be flexible, culturally responsive, and easy to adapt for diverse learners, making them ideal for general music educators using Orff-inspired or active music approaches.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’m an Orff Schulwerk–trained music educator with 17+ years of experience creating joyful, inclusive music classrooms through singing, movement, speech, and instruments. I’ve directed large-scale Orff concerts for entire school communities, produced professional recordings with school choirs, whom have also received the Kiwanis Gold Award for excellence in competitions. I’ve also presented at OMEA on inclusive music teaching, sharing practical strategies for supporting students with developmental disabilities in the classroom. Alongside teaching, I’m an active professional musician and composer. All of the resources I share are classroom-tested, flexible, and designed to make music teaching feel joyful and doable. I’m excited to share my experience — and my favourite lessons — with you!
