I created an accompaniment track from Dale Brubaker's "Concert Tunes for Beginning Strings" beginning orchestra piece. I am making the accompaniment track available to other teachers and am not claiming the original piece was created by me. I chose marimba so students can play either staccato or pizzicato. The accompaniment track, which I made with Audacity/Finale (RIP Finale d.2024) and I'm sharing, is mine and I am sharing it as a resource for other teachers. This is not an opportunity to buy
Original unison beginning orchestra piece. Similar in complexity to Brubaker's Serenata, One Fall Evening features half notes, G/D/A open strings, and half rests. Students will also need to know E on the D string, quarter note D, and quarter rest symbols.
An original piece for beginning string orchestra. The piece uses quarter note, half notes, and half rests as well as open strings, 1, and low 2 on the D and A string. If you use the Bornoff approach, this piece can be performed at a December or March concert. If you use Essential Elements, this piece coincides with pages 32-33 (introducing F-natural and C-natural).
