Simple fun way to practice writing equations (number sentences) by getting to know your students. They will use their information to write an equation with various operations. Practice order of operations as well. Differentiated with 3 different levels. Could be used for grades 2-8!
This is a math activity that goes along with the book "Alexander Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday". This activity practices adding and subtracting money. Two different versions of worksheet included.
Make My Number
Have students practice adding and/or subtraction with this fun game. Can alter directions and use for multiplication too. Decide a target number and try to create it using three numbers rolled. Need 3 dice and recording sheet. Directions are provided.

Students will be given a number each day to determine the following write it, draw it, spell it, expanded form, add/subtract 10, etc. This sheet is to glue in their "math journal" or notebook. They can use it as a reference each time and you can save paper! Two lists are on one sheet. Double it is starred because for my 2nd graders this may be a challenge in the beginning months of school.
