Experience
I have been teaching for 12 years. I have taught primary grades abroad in West Africa. I have taught Algebra II and Environmental science for 11th-12th grade. I am currently teaching fourth grade in California, we follow Common Core State Standards.
Teaching style
I love the gradual release model. I teach in small groups, mini-lessons, and provide one-on-one support. I love singing in my classroom and encouraging my students to show up doing their best-and mistakes are always welcome.

I graduated Magnum Cum Laude and earned a 4.0 during my Masters program.

I hold a Masters in Educational Literacy, a California Teaching Credential, Yoga teacher certified, and two Bachelors degrees in English and African Studies.
