Get your students excited about writing by letting them participate in the pumpkin journal writing project. Students will be required to get a small pumpkin that they can carry around with them. They will then reflect on the day’s activities, as if they are the pumpkin. All writings are completed in first person pumpkin. This is a great way to tie together point of view, figurative language, and creative writing. Your students will thank you! Instructions and a rubric is provided.
