HELLO FELLOW TEACHERS & FUTURE TEACHERS 🤗
I am Katie Francom a 4th year FCS Teacher in Utah I currently teach FCS exploration A (7-8) and (will be) taking on FACS 6 this fall at the Middle School Level but have also taught FCS Exploration B at the middle school level and Some High School Level courses as well such as Child Development, Interior Design & Foods and Nutrition.
I love all things FCS and Design which is why I created my own store. Whether you are brand new to the world of teaching or are a seasoned professional my products will help you revamp your curriculum or give you a strong start from the get go! While most of my products are based in the areas of FCS I do have other products that can work no matter what you teach. My passion is in art and design so those are my specialties but I also am ALWAYS working on a new organization/scaffolding project in my classroom to help things run better and make my life easier as a teacher.

Teaching style
As a teacher I seek to involve my students as much as possible and love giving them voice and choice in what they do in my class especially with student projects. Because of this my products usually model this voice and choice and offer a variety of options even if it is a template I will have LOTS of different options for you to choose from and will always include a completely editable version to allow you to customize to your teaching style and your learner's needs. My previews are detailed for almost all of my products so you know exactly what you are getting as a customer.
My own education history
I obtained my bachelors degree summa cum laude in science from USU in Logan, UT I graduated from the FCSE (Family Consumer Sciences Education) program. If you are looking to get into FCS teaching I highly recommend it. I completed a paid student teacher internship at the high school level in Logan, UT and then started teaching middle school FCS in Draper UT which is where I have stayed since.
I have always loved education even as a student and have always sought to put my best into everything I do as a teacher. All my products in my store are tried and true I don't put something up on my site until it is ready and I feel like I have worked out all of the kinks.
Additional biographical information
I LOVE creating and sharing resources whether it is some of my clipart or a simple organization resource I put my all into my products. My motto as a teacher is to do something once so you can use it forever and I try to model that in all my resources on this site. My passion is in design so I also format my resources to be visually pleasing. I am so glad you decided to visit my site and hope you love my products as much as I do.
