Allowing students to make their own reference books is a valuable learning opportunity! You can make these books with your students and then use them as reference throughout the year. I start with the most common features and then add additional text features throughout the year. My students have already learned cursive, but can definitely use more practice so this book is perfect for maintenance. They love the nonfiction animal facts! Great for: -independent practice -morning work -bell work -early finishers -increased speed and legibility -Zaner-Bloser style Students will trace and then copy each fact on the first page. On the second page, students generate their own cursive responses. Also includes" -blank templates for students to create their own fact sheets. Y

Multiplication fact practice doesn't have to be routine. I use these pizza fraction cards for reviewing fractions and mixed numbers with my third graders.
