Use this activity to review the first few weeks of learning in 7th grade math! I use this each year in the second week of October. Students use the answer sheet to record their answers and find the code for their gift card- a great activity to have your kids earn a reward! The links to the presentation and recording sheets for displaying or printing are in the presentation.

Very fun 8th grade math mad lib activity! Students love making these funny stories. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED. All questions have been previously tested on STAAR. Students fill out the words page first and then get the correct answers to complete the mad lib puzzle. I would reccomend setting a 5-10 minute timer for the kids to complete the words page.

Students use toothpicks to make squares. They then use the squares to compare side lengths and discover the relationships of similar figures and ratios without too much direct instruction. The teacher can walk around to facilitate and quickly address misconceptions while students work to deepen their understanding.
