In this document, you will find cutouts to create a CHAMPS board in your classroom. I created these in a way, that you can print on colored paper, creating colored text with black background. The CHAMPS and success are colored. I have also included a suggested grid to be used, as well as matching arrows for indicators.
This is a fun way to have your students practice solving metric/standard conversions. Make this activity a race/challenge with a reward, and your students will get super engaged and excited about the challenge. Your students will feel like this is a game all while getting practice solving conversions.
As an Engineering class, we spend time on learning about design and modeling. One unit we go over is how to scale a model home. As you can see, the scale used in this worksheet is fairly simple, however the document is editable.
