A project I use in 6th grade social studies to wrap up our units. Covers everything but Latin America because I have another project I use for that, but all editable so you can add those options. No prep, takes 3-4 class periods (55 minutes).
Goes with Georgia Standards of Excellence Space unit. Great to give students that require teacher notes. Definitions pulled from student textbook - McDougal Littell Earth Science, but can be used with any grade for acceleration or remediation. Can also be used for a matching game. Print out and students can fold in half or cut out and glue. Or keep as is in a notebook.

Set a goal for students: I typically do 10 dots. Each box has a set of dots on the bottom - their answer must be 1 sentence per dot. For example, the first question requires a 1 sentence answer. They only get 1 dot for that. The last question is worth 6 dots, thus requires 6 sentences. After practicing the method, can be completed in 20 minutes or less.
Aligns to 6th grade GA SOE. Can be used with any grade/standards. I print out first sheet, and present the second sheet on the board. Can be edited to have word bank on first sheet, print out altogether and give to students.
Useful for team planning. I use one sheet for meetings/events and make a copy for each content area to help teachers collaborate cross-curricularly. Weekends are blocked off - I suggest previewing school calendar and blocking off school breaks as well.
Lesson plans for a poster project detailing 10 Roman emperors. Has been modified to consider students with IEPs, and can be further modified to fit your needs.
Digital dismissal chart. I use with my last period to keep track of who goes where at dismissal. Print poster sized & laminate to use with dry erase markers.
Can be used for extra credit assignments (encourages reading outside of class) or for assigned reading checks.
Asks students to examine and analyze literary elements, as well as asking for their opinions on the book overall.
The document is editable, so page limits can be added.
A brief discussion of Napoleon's rise and fall; this is just the PowerPoint, the lesson plan and guided notes with the link to the YouTube video and instructions for the class activity is also in the store.
A brief overview of the rise and fall of Napoleon's Empire. Includes a link to a review video, instructions for a group activity, and a notes sheet (with answer key).
ongoing list of online resources for Civil Rights projects (designed for middle school, so nothing too in-depth, but will continue adding to it and updating)
