Gift Planning Project - Google Slides (holiday, birthday, budgeting, decisions)
A great project to connect math concepts with budgeting, planning, and decision-making. This is not holiday specific - could be used for Christmas, Valentines, birthdays, etc. I use this with my 6th-grade career development class to discuss budgeting, planning, and decision-making. I put different budget amounts in a hat and have students draw their total budget. I generally range from $50 to $300 and then we discuss how each person had a different experience depending on their allotted amount.
