Experience

I have worked as a pediatric occupational therapist for over 20 years and have experience as a school-based therapist and sensory integration clinic based therapist. I have worked with preschoolers, elementary-aged, as well as middle school and high school students. Additionally, I've worked with students in both special education, regular education, and autism.

Teaching style

I like to incorporate the whole body into my treatment sessions and encourage teachers to use and incorporate movement in their activities as well. As an occupational therapist, my resources are often adapted to fit a variety of learning styles and can be used for differentiated learning.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University.

I am Level I Certified with Handwriting Without Tears I completed the USC Sensory Integration Continuing Education (CE) Certificate Program I have experience with self-regulation curriculums, mindfulness and meditation practices.
