This is a great beginning of the year activity for any grade level to get an idea of what types of people students view as being able to be a scientist. After drawing, students can label their picture for added rigor. Encourage students to give their scientists props and a background too! This is a great conversation starter for students to explain why they drew the scientist they drew. You might uncover many biases and/or misconceptions that students have. The dashed line around the edge can serve as a border or a cutting guide if you want these to be glued into interactive math journals!
I love to do a "Problem of the Day" each day as a warmup with my students. This is a single problem that either reviews a concept we've already learned or is aligned with the concept we are covering that week in class. I project the word problem on the board and after reading it as a class, students complete this sheet independently. This product includes two different templates. Each template is only a half sheet to save that priceless paper!
This product includes various coloring pages for Halloween as well as a few fall options for those students who do not celebrate Halloween! Simply print and go for early finisher activities, holiday centers, and more!

Every year I have a variety of professionals come into my class and present to my students about their jobs, how they got there, etc. Students are able to ask questions and engage with the experts. After, they use these workbooks to reflect on what they learned and if the presenter's career seems like something that would interest them in their future.
