Student taught at the middle school level.
I have taught 15 years at the high school level in traditional high schools, online, as well as a charter school, working with part time homeschooled students.
This is an introductory activity for exponential growth functions. It is good for an introduction to exponential functions in general. It forces students to create a t-table (with x-values already supplied), and then a graph for an exponential growth function. They are then asked some questions about what they notice about the graph and its key aspects. This would work well as a warm-up.
