Jelly Bean Genetics/Pedigree Lab
Students will learn about pedigrees and genetics in a fun way. Students will use jelly beans to represents different variations of traits/genes to see how you can get a mixed of traits/genes through reproduction. Students should have background on reproduction, sex cells, and pedigrees. I would use this as a review activity for the unit.

Muscle Protein (Actin/Myosin) Play Doh Lab
PLAY DOH NEEDED TO DO ACTIVITY!Students will make a 3-D model of the muscle proteins (actin and myosin). They will then answer questions related to the muscle proteins and their functions.
