This practice assignments allows students to work on 1) putting a given point and slope into Point Slope Form 2) distributing, simplifying, and solving for y and 3) see the difference between the two formulas. This assignment gives students an example to refer to, and each question provides a point and a slope.

This product allows students to review Slope Intercept Form. The problems students are given range from graphing to writing equations to finding slope. It is a great review for after spending a couple of weeks on Slope Intercept Form and you want to see where your students are at.

This activity can be used as a review or an end of the unit activity. Students will start at any question. The questions are on the bottom of the papers and the answers are on the top of a different page. This will take them to all questions. There are questions covering all different aspects of functions, and also has some questions over solving equations.

This worksheet gives students two points. They are to use the slope formula to find slope. This will assess their ability to use the formula correctly. There are also a couple questions that will give them a slope of zero or undefined.

This assignment asks students to complete an input/output chart, plot those points on the coordinate plan, determine what type of function it is, and find f(2). This worksheet helps students to connect the idea of a function from an equation to a function on a graph.

This review includes finding slope from 2 points, slope from a graph, slope from a table, slope from an equation, slope from standard form, finding x and y intercepts, writing equations when given 2 points, writing equations when given m and b, writing equations when given the point and slope, parallel and perpendicular lines, and plugging in numbers to point slope. I use this review to play trashket ball in my classes.

This activity includes questions about different types of equations: One Step, Two Step, MultiStep, Absolute Value, and Literal Equations. The questions are on the bottom part of the pages, the answers are on the tops of different pages. Students can start anywhere. Once they solve the problem, they will find their answer around the room. This will show them which problem to solve next.

This assignment is practice for students to work on using addition with elimination. This is what I use as a day one assignment. I split addition and subtraction into two days in order for students to practice getting the concept of Elimination down. First, students solve the problems. Then, students match their answers with letters from a bank. The word will spell out "Eliminated" and fills in a definition of Elimination.

This short worksheet gives an equation and the corresponding graph. Students are asked to find the slope of the line. They do this by using their understanding of "rise over run" or "y's over x's". At the end of the assignment, they are asked to write a paragraph about any connections they can make between an equation, the graph, and the slope.

This worksheet has students first put each equation into Standard Form, and then solve for Y (which is basically going from Standard form to Slope intercept form); but I let my students discover that on their own.

This is a practice worksheet I give my students on the first day of Standard Form. They simply put the values into the equation. Towards the end of the worksheet, students are given the values and are asked to rearrange the values into Standard Form.

This is a poster for students to recognize the different between undefined slopes and zero slopes. I let students look at this for an example, it's posted in my room, then I have them create their own posters and hang them up around the classroom.

This worksheet addresses the ability to perform different operations with different functions (written in function notation). There are 15 questions. The assignment gives different functions to work with, and different inputs for them.

This worksheet first asks students to fill out input/output tables and graph those points. After doing this, students will determine what type of function it is and find the function at a certain point. Then, students will start adding and subtracting functions.

This review includes: problems for factoring out using GCF, factoring trinomials, factoring binomials, factoring trinomials that have a leading coefficient greater than one. This can be used as a end of the unit review to help make sure students are fully understanding the different ways to factor.

Students are asked to find the slope, when given a table with points. The, students will have to first complete the table by inputting the x values to get the corresponding y values. After doing this, they will be able to find the slope. This will help their understanding of the slope formula, and connect this idea back to function notation and lines.

This is a first day assignment for using Substitution to solve Systems of Equations. This worksheet has two equations, with one of them already in slope intercept form. Students are to substitute the equation that is already in slope intercept form into the other equation, and solve for x. After they find x, they need to substitute that value into one of the equations to find their y. Their answer should be their solution written as an ordered pair.

This practice activity is aimed towards given students practice writing equations in slope intercept form. They are given a point and the slope of a line. First, they need to find the y-intercept by plugging in x, y, and m into the Slope Intercept Form formula. After finding their y-intercept, they will then plug that in, along with the slope, to write their equation.
