This 33 page strategy sort has students analyze multiplication problems and select the strategy that would be most efficient to find the product. Students are working on their math discourse and critiquing the reasoning of others. This can be used for small groups to review or as a whole class activity. As an extension, students can solve the problem using several of the suggested strategies.

Often times, I'm barefoot and sitting on the floor with my young scholars, fully engaged in our discussions. I believe in hands-on, cooperative, collaborative discussion-based learning.
