Updated 4/20/2023 to fix an error on the planner page! A great way to introduce the dystopian genre! Students work in groups to create their own utopian or dystopian society, including the government, the people, the look, the backstory, etc.! This is READY TO PRINT, but you can make it as simple or elaborate as you would like. As it is, it took my students 3-4 days to complete. This can also be turned into a cross-curriculum assignment!
This version of "My Memory Book" is not novel specific, so it is excellent for any time of the school year! It is ready to assign or can be edited to meet your current unit! These slides include: Letter to myselfBasic about me infoSchool year infoStudent favoritesGoalsFamily Friends

This resource focuses on the songs "Driver's License" by Olivia Rodrigo, "Skin" by Sabrina Carpenter, and "Crisis" by Joshua Bassett. 2. The second page is ready for you to write in your own songs!
Ready to print! Print this page, add the title of the song you want to use, and you are ready to go for an easy, fun lesson! I suggest using the song "Just the Two of Us" by Will Smith (clean lyrics and loved by all of my students)!
