I was born in Uzbekistan. When I was 19 years old, I won a grant to study in the United States for a year. Later I came back to earn my Masters Degree.
For the past 20 years I have been working with children of all ages and I truly believe that children are all equal and deserve to be educated to their best potential.
I started teaching when I was still in elementary school. I used to travel from the city to the suburbs where my mom taught and sit in the back of her classroom and wait while she finished her day. My first lessons were teaching her students the dance steps from my choreography class during recess time. Her students performed in front of the whole school and everyone loved it.
One of the guiding principles of Kids for Peace is "We believe that learning about other cultures, lifestyles, and traditions leads to unity, respect, and peace." I love music, arts, the cuisine of Uzbekistan. I love sharing and learning about all cultures.
