This is a great wrap up activity after a student finishes a biography. It’s also a terrific way to integrate technology in a meaningful way. Students are paired and given the roles of Artist and Videographer. The Artist will create a portrait of the person from the biography and complete the written template. Emily has been teaching in a K-1-2 multi-age classroom for 15 years and serves as the K-1-2 team leader. Ninnette has been teaching in a K-1-2 multi-age classroom for 28 years and has had a variety of leadership roles.

Teaching style

We believe that the classroom should be a place that is interactive, engaging, fun, and collaborative. Character education is an important foundation in building our classroom community. We also enjoy finding new ways to integrate technology across the curriculum.

Emily has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. Ninnette has both a BS and Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
