Experience

I have worked in elementary education for 17 years now ... in many different roles. In addition to being a classroom teacher, I have also worked in administration, supervised student teachers, and worked on too many committees to name. :) Currently, I am an instructional coach working with staff to provide PD in math for K-5 teachers. Teaching style

Math workshop and extended time problem solving have been my most recent teaching styles. When I was in the classroom, I loved reading professional books and articles and incorporating things into daily instruction. Now that I am a math coach, and able to focus on just one subject, I enjoy imagining how new ideas and methods can utilized in grades K-5.

Awards & shining teacher moments

- Trained as a Facilitator for First Steps in Mathematics - Presenter at Bridgewater State University's Math and Computer Science Collaborative - Author of Dragonfly Consulting's Navigating Fractions resource (available on their website, not on TPT)

My own education history

I am honestly using my college degree ... perhaps more than I imagined! I hold a BS in Math Education with a focus in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire. I also have a MEd in Elementary Education from UNH.

Additional biographical information
