Experience

I have been a teacher since 2010 teaching deaf students, hearing students, and English language learners of all ages. I have worked in High School and elementary school. I am currently an ELL teacher in an elementary school with multicultural, multilingual and multi-abled students.

Teaching style

As a teacher, I focus on building relationships with students. I believe in creating a safe and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable and safe taking risks.

My own education history

I went to Radford University and studied Deaf education. I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction for English Learners and am licensed to teach deaf and hard of hearing students Pre-K - 12, ASL to high school students, and English Learners K-12.

Additional biographical information

I love being outdoors - fishing, hiking, and exploring. I love being creative and making things. I am a mom to a rambunctious boy and I truly love teaching.
