Tables, Graphs, and Equations (oh my!) Are you looking to teach the Constant of Proportionality (C.O.P.) to your middle schoolers? Well, here you go with 6 pages of student pages! It helped my 7th graders! These pack includes: •2 pages for classroom student practice •2 pages for homework •2 pages for a quiz •Plus an answer key for all of it! ------------------------------------------------- Looking for MORE work with Constant of Proportionality? Check out my C.O.P. Task CardsHappy mathing!
Multiple options for graphing: •Full page or Half page •4 Quadrants or First Quadrant **Add a personal touch by having students fill in the cloud with an "inspirational quote" OR a quote to finish the following statement: "I have a Dream..." ------------------------------------------------------------- This activity gives hope that math can help solve problems. :)
Grade 7 Task Cards for Constant of Proportionality (C.O.P.)
Use these to practice:
Unit Rate,
Writing equations from tables and a graph,
Finding points on a line,
Problem solving based on unit rates.
INCLUDES:
*10-FULL SIZE PROBLEMS (also 10 of the same problems two per page)
*ANSWER KEY

Use in stations, scoot style around the room, or upload to Google Slides.
Example of the steps to find the "percent of a number" using the "convert and multiple" method. Then nine multistep problems for students to solve with percents in a real-world money context. *Includes an answer key, with the steps.
Here's a fill-in-the-blank foldable for your middle schoolers! It can be a great review tool or reference tool for the rules for Operations with Integers. Use it whole class or in a math center.
Some of the references on this foldable are from two videos:
MC Santi's Integer Rap and PBS Math Club (Subtracting Integers)
You can find both videos on youtube.
MC Santi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2IW9FolSnc
PBS Math Club-Subtracting Integers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsxXltuUFQM
This activity can be used as a center, as a scavenger hunt around the class, "scoot" style*(see below), or using the Smartboard lesson to go over it/ teach it.
It covers:
Complementary Angles, Supplementary angles, missing angles of triangles, missing angles of a quad, and writing equations.
The .zip file includes:
1) Student answer sheet
2) 16 angle task cards (two per page)
3) The same 16 angle task cards (one per page)
4) Answer key
*"Scoot" style is when you put a task card on a pair
What do you put a "smart" hot dog?
On the honor roll of course!
Kids solve integer operations with addition to answer the riddle.
On the back, there is a review of the subtraction algorithm for integers.
The answer key is included!
Hope this helps!
Check out my foldable and Integer Operation Flow map to use beforehand.
These self checking task cards are a great way to review or teach multiplying a decimal by decimal.
Includes:
-12 large task cards (two per page)
-12 small task cards (six per page) *To be used as "Starter Problems"
-Student recording sheet.
-------------------------------
There is an easier version also that is a Decimal X WholeNumber
Treasure Hunt-Multiply Decimals EASY
--------------------------------
How to use:
1. Cut apart and hang up the large task cards.
2. Hand out the student recording
What is a math teacher's favorite dessert?
Your students will have to answer the two-step equations to find out!
All 20 problems have an answer in this riddle, which makes it self-checking!
Most kids will guess "pi", but they have to solve the problems to find the rest of the riddle!
:)
Fun times with math! Students will solve 9 ratio (unit rate) problems to collect clues to answer the riddle: What did the calculator say to the pencil? [You can count on me!] Designed for 6th Grade For added challenge, be sure they don't use a calculator! Includes Answer Key!
Do your students need a tool in their hand to find equivalent fractions? Well, here it is! And Free! I printed a class set in color and laminated mine to last. The size of this card is designed to fit in an Index Card size laminating pouch (3½ x 5½), if you're using your own laminating machine. Related fractions are the same color: Green: 1/3 and 1/6 Red: 1/4 and 1/8 Blue: 1/5 and 1/10 Since 1/12 has many, it's its own color. Hope this helps!
Want some practice with adding positive and negative numbers?
Here's an interactive way to do it!
Use this form to record addition problems from the Interactive Integer App. This is a great way to use the "chip model" or Color Tiles as its called in this app.
Don't have the App, you can get it on the App Store for $0.99
