Kid friendly Common Core posters in lovely polka dots! Each domain has posters for each standard in a color coded polka dot frame. Every poster is a full page in size. Standards are written in kid friendly "I can" and "I know" format. Use these posters as an easy way for students to know what they are working on while also displaying the standards for administrators!!

Featured here is a bathroom sign out sheet. You can write in your student's names and make as many copies as you wish. In my room I allow students one trip in the AM and one in the PM and have them check off if they go, but there is enough room for them to write in the time they left.

Answering open ended questions to show reading comprehension and use evidence from the text is very difficult for students! Here is a poster that I display in my room. I explicitly teach how to use each word and phrase so that my students always find at least one that sticks with them and reminds them to provide evidence from the text to support their answers.

This file contains 9 months of spelling menus for differentiated activities. Each month has 15 different activities to choose from and include different activities from the various multiple intelligences. Some activities are technology based. I personally use these as homework. We have spelling 2 times per week which gives students ample choices and I do not have to create homework every week or assign boring write the words 2 times each type homework.

If you are a user of the fantastic DoJo software then this poster is for you! I needed to figure out incentives for my students to earn as many DoJo Points as they could so I created this chart that shows what they can earn for specific amounts of points. I keeps students working and setting new goals!

Each week I have my students decode and sort 5 of their spelling words per day. I start out the year using this simple syllable sort and then later add in the rest of the 6 syllable types (that worksheet will be posted soon!). I have my students write the words on the bottom of their paper then code the letters as C or V and sort into the correct box. Great for word work!

The words, "READING IS WILD" are printed in black and white with zebra print around them (first two letters are in the preview so you can see what they look like). I included these on my bulletin board in my room above my reading beads that students get for reading at home, but this is a great heading for any reading board! You can laminate the letters and tie them together with ribbon for an added touch.
