Awards & shining teacher moments

I am proud to have received the 2024 Washington Elementary Teacher of the Year award, highlighting my dedication to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This recognition reflects my passion for teaching and my commitment to supporting my students' growth. Celebrating moments like when a struggling student finally grasps a concept or the excitement during collaborative projects fuels my desire to develop impactful educational resources for teachers and students alike.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Studies, which I earned in 2021. Building on that foundation, I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2024. I am currently pursuing my Early and Middle Childhood Literacy National Board Certification to further enhance my skills and provide the best possible support to my students in their learning journeys.

Additional biographical information

I’m happily married to the man of my dreams, and we share our home with two adorable dogs, Remi and Charlie, and a sweet cat named Izzy. I love cozying up by a warm fire with a soft blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and a good book in hand. Whether I’m trying new foods, strolling through parks, or playing games with family and friends, I always seek to make the most of every moment. Life is an adventure, and I’m excited to share my passion for learning and creativity with you!
