Principles of Design
This is a video that reviews the different principles of design. It's a great video to use as a Nearpod lesson where you can add the questions or ask students to draw on a piece of artrwork. Teaching style
For digital art and graphic design I have students do a practice project first so that they can learn to use the various tools then give them a final project where they use the newly acquired tools to solve a creative problem. Instead of using the traditional rubric I put questions for the students to review about their project to ensure they are going to make a good grade.
In visual studio art I have students do worksheets to help them master certain techniques before giving them a final assignment. This allows them to practice the techniques first before starting on a final assignment.
