Experience

Since finishing University in 2008, I have worked as a Secondary English and Humanities teacher at an all-boys school in and two co-educational schools. While possessing extensive experience across Years 7-12, my current specialty is VCE English. I am also a tutor, and an exam-marker.

Teaching style

I believe in creating a calm classroom environment where students feel safe and respected. As a teacher of English and the Humanities, I feel a structured approach with plenty of modelling of tasks is the best way to support students in their learning.

My own education history

Following Secondary school, I completed an Arts Degree with Majors in English and History at the University of Melbourne. Following this, I undertook a DipEd(Secondary) and have completed a Masters of Education.
