I have been teaching for more than 25 years and have had the joy of working with students across multiple grade levels. I began my career teaching 1st grade for two years and 4th grade for one year, but the majority of my teaching journey has been dedicated to kindergarten—my true passion. Teaching style
My teaching style is rooted in creating a classroom that is joyful, engaging, and relationship-focused. I believe learning should be fun and interactive, sparking curiosity and a love of discovery in every child. I strive to build strong, positive relationships with my students and create a safe, nurturing environment where the love of learning blooms and grows. My goal is always to make each child feel valued, capable, and excited about school.

Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive recognition for my dedication and commitment to teaching. I have been nominated for Teacher of the Year multiple times throughout my career, and I’m proud to have been named a Teacher of Excellence Finalist within the National Heritage Academies nationwide school system on three separate occasions. These acknowledgments reflect the heart and passion I bring to my work each and every day.

I am a proud graduate of both Baker College – Flint and the University of Michigan – Flint. I hold a master’s degree in education, and my teaching certification includes endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Literacy K–12. My academic background has provided a strong foundation for my work in the classroom and continues to inform my resource development.

I truly love my job and feel grateful for the life I lead. Outside of the classroom, I am a proud wife, mother of three, and grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren. I’ve had the privilege of being published in The Michigan Reading Journal, The Mailbox, and The Helping Hand, a newsletter for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation—an organization close to my heart as my son is a brain tumor survivor. My personal and professional experiences shape everything I do, and I bring that heart into every resource I create.
