Experience

I strive to create educational materials that make learning fun. I believe that students learn best when the education they receive is meaningful and interesting, when materials and methods are based on their unique needs and interests. I have spent over 30 years working with students of all ages and abilities – in the classroom and as an owner of a private tutoring business. Now I have the pleasure of creating materials based on the many interests and needs of my former students.

Teaching style

I consider my teaching style to be student centered. I strive to make learning experiences as individualized as possible based on unique learning needs and interests. My role as a teacher is to be the facilitator for learning. I encourage my students to take an active role in their education, to initiate learning tasks that are relevant, meaningful, and useful.

Received "Hats Off" Commendation for "the care and concern of my students". Served on advisory board for the Massachusetts State Department of Mental Retardation.

My own education history

BS in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Completed graduate classes in educational administration at the University of St. Thomas and at the University of Minnesota.
