As a keen language learner myself — having studied French, Dutch, Hebrew, Chinese and Polish — I never lose sight of what it feels like to search for words, build sentences and express yourself in a new language. That experience keeps me empathetic, practical and focused on real communication.
I aim to make every lesson engaging, relevant and tailored to the individual learner. Each class is carefully planned around the student’s goals and needs.
Grammar is explained clearly and visually, often using colour-coded whiteboard notes to make structures easier to follow and more memorable. Alongside this, I incorporate games, activities, questionnaires, videos, articles, worksheets, literary excerpts and images to ensure lessons remain varied, dynamic and intellectually stimulating.
Above all, I want students to feel that language learning is structured, achievable and genuinely enjoyable.
My interest in the evolution, divergence and development of languages strongly informs my teaching. Understanding how and why languages change allows me to bring a deeper, more analytical perspective into the classroom — helping students see patterns rather than just isolated rules.
