Pictures of the parent animal and the baby animal with labels.
I have my students cut out all the pictures and glue the baby on the left end of a popsicle stick and the parent on the right side of the stick.
You can also put them into a Bridge Map (Thinking Maps) with the relating factor being either "is a baby" or "is the parent of". Of course for this to be grammatically correct, you will need to add articles in front of the labels.
The Way Things Move pictures and labels for journals and Tree Maps; can also be used as a center activity if printed in color on cardstock and laminated.
