This product can be used as an extension activity for students who are learning to write compound sentences. I suggest conducting a few lessons prior to using this activity. Students should understand when to use each conjunction, and should be able to demonstrate choosing conjunctions to create compound sentences before engaging in this writing activity. This activity is great to use as a comprehension check, and to allow students to demonstrate their creativity.
