This packet is one of my favorites! There seems to be a time at the end of every semester or before holiday breaks where I think, "What can I do that is meaningful and engaging, but that can be squeezed into only a couple of weeks?!" With that problem in mind, I assembled this packet for my Senior English class to use as a guide while viewing the Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet in its entirety. Scott teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition along with Mythology, and he has scored AP Language essays for the College Board. Courtney has taught Freshmen and Senior English. Teaching style

We believe engaging lessons inspire students to do their best, so we work hard to create interactive experiences where students are allowed to work with each other and us to develop a deeper understanding of the content. We adapt many of our lessons to incorporate new technologies so we are preparing our students for the next steps they take in the digital world.

Awards & shining teacher moments

We are both National Board Certified Teachers with English Language Arts endorsements.

My own education history

Scott has a MA in English Literature from Portland State University along with his Masters in Teaching from the University of Portland. Courtney has a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon.

Additional biographical information

Together we are raising two lively and smart little ones who will hopefully grow up loving literature as much as we do!
