Included are standard aligned rubrics for analysis of student writing in Synthesis, Argument, Rhetoric, and Article of the Week. Total Scores can be divided by five for an average score (6-10).
Help students keep track of their assignments. This doc can be downloaded and modified for what you need in the classroom, then printed and given to students to add to their binder. The color coding can work with the Assignment Log Poster for students to be reminded of what they need in their binders if they miss a class.

This is a tracker to help students record their independent reading throughout the week. Students will read for 10 minutes at the beginning of class and will read independently for 20 minutes outside of class 6 nights a week. At the end of the week, they will write a short summary of what they read to keep them accountable.

This is a great alternative to the Venn Diagram. Students can use the upper boxes to show differences and then the bottom box for similarities. There is lots of room to write here, so students don't have to feel limited by space.
