This activity will meet most of the requirements to earn the Tenderheart Zoology Badge. This will overlap with some of the information learned in the first few weeks of science and the classifications of living things for CC Cycle 1. This is a great badge to earn in conjunction with Cycle 1 to expand on the information presented in science in order for your child to grasp a greater understanding.

Print, laminate, and cut out pieces on second page. Give your little one some dollar tree modeling clay or use cut pieces of velcro to stick to the main page. This is a cute little activity that your child can enjoy each day to help them learn and understand some of the parts of a plant.

Booklet resource designed for use in the outdoors. I purchased natural colored paper off amazon to print mine on and bound it on a sewing machine using gold thread. Another easy way to bind the booklet would be to use a long arm stapler and staple in the middle. Sewing the binding did not take a special setting or special thread. I just used what color I preferred. Print the last page as many times as you like to make a booklet with as many observations as possible. Just flip every other page so
