About the store

Experience

I have been teaching English Language Arts for the last 5 years! I have taught 12th grade Writing, 11th grade Mythology, 7-8th grade Reading and Writing, and 10-12th grade Etymology and Creative Writing. I also have been in charge of a few committees and have some resources for keeping staff morale up too!

Teaching style

Student-centered activities and lessons are the aim of my plans! I think mini-lessons are important and utilize them a lot, but most of the time you will find my students using task cards, creating group projects, and wandering around the room for gallery walks. I love to design creative lessons for students to enjoy.

Awards & shining teacher moments

As a college student I received an academic scholarship and made the Dean's list every semester. I have obtained leadership roles such as Team Lead, President of the Sunshine Committee, and President of PBIS Committee.

My own education history

I went to Ball State University pursuing a Secondary English Education degree. I graduated with a BA and secured a job two weeks later teaching at a 1-1 school (who knew that'd help so much in the coming years!).

Additional biographical information

Many of my lessons can be completed entirely virtual, as that is how this year has begun! I have experience teaching in Texas, Illinois, Indiana and now Missouri and most of my lessons can be adapted for any and all of the above states and standards!
