Teaching style
My strength as a teacher has always been in differentiation. I prefer an individualized approach that takes individual students’ personal interests into account and, in this way, promotes engagement. I’m known for my ability to help motivate learners who have formerly had no interest in art by developing fun, alternative activities that provide a positive experience of art-making while fulfilling curriculum standards.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Other than seeing individual students excel in my classroom, my most shining teacher moments are when I’ve been involved in student directed activities. I currently facilitate a special art program at a middle school that introduces students to a range of mediums and techniques while nurturing their own personal growth.
2020-2025: Judge for the Digital Media category of the RAW Arts Awards. This award fosters the artistic pursuits of young people in my region. Being invited to judge was especially meaningful to me as I was a first prize recipient in the Visual Arts category back in…

My own education history
I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts at LaTrobe University in Bendigo in 2013. I then returned to LaTrobe to attain my Masters of Education in 2016.

Because I’m interested in a wide range of art styles and mediums, I have broad and diverse experience as an artist. I have worked professionally in drawing, printmaking, painting, film, animation and video game creation. You can check out my artist profile here.
