NextGen CTE
This is a multi-day project for students to create their own monthly budget where every dollar has a home. I used it as a group project, but it could be individual as well. Students are given a family makeup and careers. They must calculate their monthly income and go out and spend their money. They shop for a home/apartment, cars, clothes, toiletries, and groceries. Teaching style

My teaching style is deeply student-centered, prioritizing active engagement and individualized learning experiences. I believe that every student has unique strengths, needs, and learning preferences, so I strive to create an environment where all learners feel valued and supported. Central to my approach is hands-on learning, where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and apply concepts in real-world contexts. This encourages deeper understanding and fosters critical thinking, as students are not just passive recipients of information but active participants in their own learning journey. To accommodate diverse learners, I differentiate my instruction by tailoring activities and assessments to match varied learning styles and abilities. This might include providing visual aids, offering choice in assignments, or incorporating peer collaboration, all of which empower students to take ownership of their learning while receiving the support they need to succeed. I also employ multiple methods of instruction, combining direct teaching, collaborative projects, interactive discussions, and technology-based resources. This multimodal approach ensures that all students can engage with content in a way that resonates with them. By fostering a dynamic, inclusive classroom atmosphere, I aim to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students develop skills that are transferable beyond the classroom.

My own education history

I hold a undergraduate degree in Career and Technical Education with a concentration on Business, Marketing, and Computer Concepts, and am Project Lead the Way certified. I hold a Master of Business Administration degree and currently working towards a post graduate certificate in building level administration.
