This editable note package aligns perfectly with the Saskatchewan Pre-Calculus 30 curriculum. It covers graphing radical functions using transformations, radicalizing the graph of another function, and solving radical equations using various methods. I have included a hand-in assignment (with rubric) directly in the note package. A matching smartfile is also available in the bundle. Enjoy!
In this lesson, students will learn how to graph anything using a table of values. The lesson begins with an example, then goes through an activity where pairs will graph all of the functions learned in PreCalculus 30. Students will then take part in assessing the answers with the graphs provided in the document. This is how I start my PreCalculus courses every year, and it is very helpful. This lesson is also available as a PowerPoint. Enjoy!
"Job Hunt" will take students through an extensive lesson on how salaries and wages work. It will compare local jobs and extend into comparing jobs from around the world. Students will convert currency, and covert between different ways to earn money. Conversations will develop about income as students collaborate through this activity. The accompanying Smart Notebook File is also available. Enjoy!
This is an open ended activity meant to get your students thinking about volume, Pythagorean theorem, and measurement conversion. You will need to purchase caramels. (The cube kind, or rectangular ones if you want to be ruthless!) A sample solution is included. This is a lot of fun, and students especially like eating the caramels afterwards. Enjoy!

This editable course outline demonstrates the order in which I teach the outcomes of PreCalculus 30 in the Saskatchewan Curriculum and WNCP. It pairs with the resource bundle posted.
Want to know if your students truly understand the characteristics of quadratic functions in vertex-graphing form? Try out this "Misconception Check". In it, students will decide if their function shares any of the same characteristics as the graphs shown on the slides. Available in Smart Notebook Software or PowerPoint. Enjoy!
