Using Doubles Facts to Solve Addition Problems
Easel ActivityMove the number bubbles to solve each doubles and doubles plus/minus 1 or 2 problem. For the first 2 slides, students are provided the doubles addition problem first to assist students with where to start. On the last slide, no doubles model is given. My own education history
Straight out of school, I was a long-term kindergarten sub with 26 students in my class. That teaching bootcamp experience 😆 helped me land my first full-time job as a 2nd grade teacher in the same district. I had my own classroom for 3 years and then decided to team-teach with my teaching bestie. 👭 We had over 40 students in a double-sized room and had the time of our lives! ❤️️ We learned how to collaborate and have fun every day with our students. A change in jobs led my family to a new community where I taught 4th grade before transitioning to reading intervention. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE working with students in small groups and 1:1 and am currently working toward earning my masters degree. Life is busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
