Experience
I have taught middle school math in Missouri, Oregon, and Oklahoma with experience in both traditional grading as well as standards based grading. I am currently a SAHM with a toddler and twins working from home as a content creator for TPT creating resources for teachers and students everywhere!
Teaching style
I believe in building our students' confidence and reducing their math anxiety by providing multiple opportunities to respond (OTR's). I switch gears often with the use of transitions to enhance student engagement and help students develop mastery through repetition in a variety of ways.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Missouri: Consistently scored above school and state in statewide assessments. Led 8th grade math teaching team, achieving a 43-point improvement in school MPI.
Oregon: Math Coach and Lead for the implementation and training of the Evaluate tool used district wide.
Oklahoma: Distance Learning Experience During Covid

My own education history
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle School Education with 5-9 Certification in Math. I also have additional training and education in PD, Singapore Math, and curriculum writing with Shannon McCaw.
