Experience

Tired of staying up until midnight lesson planning for tomorrow? Look no further! Here you will find creative, ready-to-teach language arts lessons that will keep your students engaged as they learn everything they need to know!

Teaching style

Every student needs challenged in a different way. I base my teaching style on building individual rapport with each student, then connect my lessons and the topics we are learning to real-life situations and things each student enjoys. I am constantly working and reflecting on my materials in order to best reach my students in ways they can understand. I enjoy having an interactive, open classroom in which students feel confident answering questions without fear of being wrong. So many students come into my class with a serious disdain for reading and leave with a newfound appreciation for our art because I genuinely want them to have fun while they learn.

My own education history

HQT (Highly Qualified Teacher) holding secondary credentials to teach English/Language Arts to students in grades 7 through 12. B.A. in Adolescent & Young Adult Integrated Language Arts. I also have a M.A. in English.

Additional biographical information

My passion for making materials clear, fun, and aligned to the CCSS is at an all-time high. Since I teach high school students, I am getting constant feedback on the activities I do and change them frequently to best fit each class. I design my materials so that my students are practicing CCSS with each assignment in preparation for their state test, as well as having fun with each new ready-to-use material.
