Fact Families Lesson Plan Common Core

A quick lesson plan on teaching fact families. I am a new teacher and my students had forgotten about fact families. I used a video motivation and a fun activity to remind students about fact families. The activity is not given (it could be found on pinterest and altered as you need) this is just a typed lesson plan. Since we are required to have detailed lesson plans this is an easy printout to have ready.

This is what I used in my classroom with the components for a daily lesson plan. This is a quick lesson great for a bulletin board outside of the curriculum. Practices addition and subtraction. The differentiation requires you to fill in the numbers when printed as you see fit. Every classroom likes to make tweaks which is why I leave it editable.

This is a common core lesson plan including differentiation on double digit addition and subtraction. These looked great on a bulletin board and left to be edited because every classroom is different. I used a smartboard activity with leopard math to review that I found on Smart exchange for the motivation. Includes: Differentiations Common Core learning standards motivation vocabulary procedure close/assess

Additional biographical information

I've seen and learned many different teaching styles and methods. I took it all in and now applying it in my own classroom. I share realistic work that I am using daily. It may not be the most professionally done but I can assure you that it's real. The comments and feedback are very appreciated because taking and applying constructive criticism is key as a new teacher. I am trying to learn as much as I can from all different people such students, teachers (inside and outside my school), parents, friends and family. Thanks again I hope my products can help make your day a little easier!
