The terms are color coded based on the five categories: Number and Number SenseComputation and Estimation Measurement and Geometry Probability and Statistics Patterns, Functions, and Algebra You could also print them using colored paper instead of colored ink. The vocabulary slides could be used for a variety of purposes in the classroom.

In my SS classroom, I am focusing on helping my students analyze and draw conclusions using primary and secondary sources. The slides have a variety of sources to use for the Reconstruction unit. The titles of the source and the reference link is found in the notes section. I plan to use these as whole group instruction, partner work, and as written work. There are a ton of questions that could be asked when analyzing these documents. I have linked a few resources for questioning.

I am currently in my 13th year of teaching and have taught in a variety of grades. For the last 5 years, I have mainly taught math.

My own education history

I graduate from Florida State University with BS in Elementary Education and from George Mason University with a ME in Education Leadership. I have attended a variety of workshops and conferences. Currently, I am attending a Pathways to Education course through the University of Mary Washington. This course is to help current educators prepare to have a student teacher and focuses on strategies to be a mentor teacher.
