This resource asks students to read short passages and determine what text structure it demonstrates. TWO VARIATIONS ARE INCLUDED: 1. Looking for an EOY activity that engages students and makes a beautiful bulletin board? Look no further. Use this as a countdown to summer, or do it all in one sitting. Students must think of things they want to do/have/be, are going to do/have/be, or dream about for the upcoming summer. The ideas will flow and students will love sharing with their peers.

Students track their own reading progress on their own bookmarks. Students record reading times, book titles, and give a self evaluation of their focus by coloring in stars. Promotes accountability and engagement. Can be used during indpendent reading in class, as an at home book log, or even in literature circles.
