About the store

Experience

I'm a certified Japanese teacher and I believe language learning should feel fun, approachable, and achievable for everyone. My resources are designed to be clear, engaging, and flexible—whether you’re teaching in a classroom, tutoring one-on-one, or learning on your own. I focus on breaking down concepts into manageable steps, with plenty of visuals and interactive activities to make learning stick.

Teaching style

I have experience teaching beginner-level Japanese classes, where I focused on grammar, vocabulary, and conversation practice. I specialize in explaining practical expressions for everyday life and simplifying difficult grammar points (such as は vs が, adjectives, and verb conjugations). In addition, I have a strong background in linguistics and language learning, and as someone who has studied multiple languages myself, I understand the challenges learners face. My lessons are designed around each student’s goals and level, with engaging methods and materials that help them stay motivated and make steady progress.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of my proudest moments as a teacher was watching my beginner Japanese students hold their very first conversations after just a few lessons—it reminded me why I love teaching so much. Over the years, I’ve received heartfelt feedback from students who never thought they could learn a language but found success with my lessons and encouragement. Those "lightbulb" moments are my greatest reward.

My own education history

I studied Japanese language and culture extensively and have continued to build my knowledge through advanced coursework, immersion, and teaching experience. I also have a strong background in language learning strategies, which I apply across multiple languages. My experience as both a learner and a teacher allows me to create resources that are practical, well-structured, and supportive of different learning styles.

Additional biographical information

Languages have been a lifelong passion of mine, and I’ve spent years creating resources not just to teach, but to inspire curiosity about cultures around the world. Alongside teaching Japanese, I explore other languages and love sharing tools that make language learning less intimidating and more rewarding. When I’m not teaching or creating, you can find me writing, traveling, or enjoying a good book with a cup of tea.
