This is step one of the descriptive narrative writing process. Have your students pick a place or memory. Then, have them complete this senses chart to help add description and details to their writing.
This activity is used to practice or assess parts of speech. They are given a magazine to find each of the topics. They will cut out a picture of the part of speech, and the word that they put next to the part of speech must be a correct usage. Example: Picture of a person - Noun - human Picture of a person running - Verb - running
I keep these in a binder. If a student receives a warning, yet they don't correct their behavior, they are quietly handed one of these sheets to fill out and put into the behavior binder. This is good for parent conferences or a great paper-trail for the administration. Easy to modify
