About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for over 20 years. For the past 17 I have been a teaching principal. I have a passion for weaving the science of teaching with the art of teaching. I currently teach a Year 1, 2 class. Teaching Maths well is one of my passions.

Teaching style

I teach in a play based classroom using a drama for inquiry approach called Mantle of the Expert. I also use the Science of Learning to inform my practice. My classroom is collaborative and based on empathy, imagination and kindness. I want children to be creative problem solvers who understand the power of mistakes. I also want to teach the stuff and cut the fluff (Anita Archer)
